I have been living in the Kingston area since 2001. At that time, I was in the middle of my 15-year career as a front-line officer with the Ontario Provincial Police. I also had the privilege of working as a detective in an undercover capacity as well as being assigned the major case manager on a murder trial. This career has allowed me to gain a lot of life experience by dealing with many different situations. I take pride in the fact that I am a great listener, an excellent communicator, and a highly compassionate person.
Right now I live north of Kingston, in the Perth Road Village area, with my husband and my dog, Murphy. We built our dream home and moved in May of 2020. We felt so fortunate to be here as the pandemic took hold. Our backyard is our favourite place. It brings us so much peace and joy as we look out to the trees and see all the deer and the creatures adorning our property. We are truly grateful and blessed to have this beautiful place to call home.
I do not have children of my own but I have had the joy of acting in a mothering role to two stepdaughters and a niece. These very special women and their partners have blessed us with 7 beautiful grandchildren. Family is very important to me and I feel that home is where your family is and there is nothing better than having your home filled with all your loved ones. There is something about having a large family gathering where you hear all the giggles and laughter echo throughout the house that brings such joy and love to everyone.
I absolutely love working in real estate. I am a fourth-generation Realtor, so I guess you can say that it's in my blood. I am very passionate about my clients and caring for them is what I do best. I love helping people go through the process of buying or selling their homes. As you know, this is one of the largest purchases or sales that we as people will ever go through in our lifetime. This makes these processes extremely stressful and emotional. I have the patience, understanding, compassion, and experience to help guide you through this emotional time while offering you my best efforts to achieve your final goal of finding that perfect dream home or helping sell your current home.
I also have a passion for decor and staging. I most definitely got that from my mother who is amazing at it and taught me a lot throughout the years. I often have friends and family reaching out to ask opinions on paint colour, tile design, furniture arrangement, accent decor etc. I love taking the time to stage my listings.
I have been known to raid my own home to outfit rooms that need a little update. It is amazing what neutral bedspread and throw pillows can accomplish, especially in photos. This can make a huge difference in whether potential buyers come through your home or not. Great online presence is a must!!
